Salah & Tasbih is designed to provide prayer times and digital tasbih without creating an account, showing advertisements, or tracking you. This policy explains what the app processes and the choices available to you.
Information the app processes
If you grant location permission, the app uses your device location to calculate local prayer times and display a general place label. The app may use the operating system's location and geocoding services for this purpose. Salah & Tasbih does not send your location to an UpShaqo-operated server.
The app stores your last selected location, prayer calculation preferences, notification preferences, and tasbih progress locally on your device so those settings remain available when you reopen the app.
Notifications
Prayer reminders are optional. If you enable them, the app calculates and schedules local notifications on your device. You can change individual prayer reminders inside the app or disable notification permission in iOS Settings.
Information we collect
We do not operate an app account system and do not intentionally collect personal information, precise location history, tasbih activity, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics through Salah & Tasbih. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Data retention and deletion
App preferences and tasbih progress remain on your device until you reset them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Removing location or notification permission can be done at any time in iOS Settings.
Third-party services
The app relies on Apple and your device operating system for permission management, location services, and notification delivery. Those services are governed by their own privacy terms. The app does not use a paid prayer-time API, advertising network, or third-party analytics service.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user. A parent or guardian can manage device permissions through iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
